EMERY, Betty Jane, Age 91, of Covington, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Sterling House of Piqua. She was born March 12, 1920, in Lincoln Falls, PA, to her parents Ransom Worth & Jenny Elizabeth (Tibbens) Randall. She graduated from Jersey Shore High School Class of 1938. On May 2, 1940, she married her loving husband W. Nolan Emery and shared 62 years of marriage together. She was a member of the Covington United Church of Christ for over 60 years where she was active in the women's fellowship. Betty was very active with the American Cancer Society, she was a Cub Scout den mother, and was always seen walking around the town of Covington. Betty's life has been her family and her church. The family would like to thank the staff at Sterling House and Hospice of Miami County for the exceptional care they gave to Betty during her stay with them. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother Curtis Randall. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sandra & Bill Lindquist of Trenton; sons and daughters-in-law Don & Norma Emery of Piqua, Randy & Lupe Emery of Colorado Springs, CO, Rich & Debbie Emery of Hamilton; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brother Worth Randall of Dayton; sister-in-law Marian Randall of Leesburg, FL. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, December 19, at Covington United Church of Christ, 115 N. Pearl Street, Covington. Pastor Al Marheine will officiate with interment following at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM Monday at the church. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Covington United Church of Christ Memorial Fund or Hospice of Miami County.
