Beverly McDade

Beverly A. McDade, 80, of Piqua, passed away Tuesday morning, February 21, 2023, at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born March 9, 1942, in Darke County, to the late Charles and Eva (Melling) Koeller. She married David McDade on March 11, 1966; he preceded her in death in 1989.

She will be missed and remembered by her children, Tim Fields, Tami Hernandez and Scott (Juvy) McDade, all of Piqua; stepchildren Brent McDade of Fla., Peggy Hester of Ga., and Laura (Mike) Thacker of Fla.; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pauline Horner of Greenville. She was preceded in death by her son, Todd Fields; siblings Junior, Phyllis, Howard, Ellen and Joan; and longtime friend, Chuck Mowery.

Beverly attended Covington Schools and retired in 2002 from the Miami County Recorder’s Office. She had also worked at the former Bill’s Pastry Shop of Covington. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 27, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with Pastor John Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, and 10-10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
