Charles Goings

Charles J. “Charlie” Goings, 88, of Covington, passed away Saturday evening, March 8, 2025, at Stillwater Skilled Nursing & Rehab, Covington. He was born April 27, 1936, in Newberry Township, Miami County, to the late Irvin and Ida May (Varner) Goings.

Charlie grew up in West Covington and was a longtime employee of the Village of Covington. He enjoyed riding his bicycle around town, visiting his friends, and sitting on his porch watching the traffic and trucks. Charlie also enjoyed eating and socializing with his friends at Buffalo Jack’s.

Being the last surviving member of his immediate family, Charlie is survived by several extended family members. He will also be remembered by his many friends in the Village of Covington.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 17, at Highland Cemetery, Covington, with Tim McGrath officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covington Fire & Rescue, 800 E. Broadway, Covington, OH 45318. Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington.
