WALTERS, Cora Etta Age 84, of Tipp City, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born June 26, 1926, in Miami County, Oh, to her parents Millard H. & Gliddia (Baer) Murphy who preceded her in death. Cora retired from A O Smith after over 25 years of service. She was a member of the Piqua Church of the Brethren and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, Nascar, and collecting angels. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles "Charlie" Walters; brothers Carl, Jim, Norman, Robert Murphy; sisters Evelyn Kiefer and Edith Milner. She will be missed and remembered by her daughter Doris Dodd of Tipp City; son and daughter-in-law Harold & Kay Swigart of Covington; grandchildren Pamela & Mike Wilks, Annette & Robert Murray, Ruth Etta & Dale Vandiver, Kathy & Wayne Bassatta; great grandchildren Hunter & Payton Wilks, Jillian & Brady Murray, Alan-Michael & Brandon Vandiver; 2 great-great grandchildren; step children Shirley Atha of FL, Joyce & Dwayne Brown of FL, step grandchildren Polly & Kip Lawrence, Jeannie & Mike Seale, Angie & Todd Kohler, Ernest North; 18 step great grandchildren, 14 step great-great grandchildren, brothers Dick & Helen Murphy, Pat Murphy. Funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, June 28, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Covington. Interment will be at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends from 10-12PM Thursday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Piqua Church of the Brethren, 525 Boal Avenue, Piqua.
