Donald White

Donald L. “Don” White, 78, of Covington, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 19, 2023, at Troy Rehab & Healthcare Center. He was born February 23, 1945, in Greenville, to the late Ralph and Ruth (Burkett) White. He married Nancy G. (Kinnison) White on September 25, 1965; she survives.

Don will also be missed and remembered by his three sons and their families, David White of Toledo, Daniel (Kami) White of Piqua, and Dale (Amy) White of Covington; eight grandchildren, D.J., Dominic, Tessa, Lane (Kaylee), Deron (Kaela), Maci (fiancé Gaven Trevino), Ella and Jackson; a great-grandson, Donald “Donnie” White; and his brother, Dick (Julie) White of Sidney.

Don was a 1963 graduate of Covington High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2013 from Apple Farm Service after many years as their service manager. He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Brukner Nature Center and the American Legion #184 of Piqua.

Funeral services to honor his life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with Pastor David Moore officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Miami Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Covington Schools Scholarship Fund or Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.
