Eileen V. Yearsley, 90, of Piqua, died on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Heartland of Piqua. She was born January 25, 1928 in Springfield, Ohio, to Sylvan “Pete” and Elizabeth Cost, both of whom preceded her in death.
Eileen is survived by a daughter, Sheila (Ken) Groves of Ridgely, MD; two sons, Dave (Kris) Yearsley of Huber Heights and Tony Yearsley of Piqua; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gene Cost of San Marcos, TX. Eileen was preceded in death by a son, Nick Yearsley; and a brother, Jerry Cost.
Eileen attended school in both Springfield and Piqua, and was a graduate of Edison State College. She was employed for many years by Hobart Corp. of Troy, and later as a social worker with the Piqua Head Start program. Eileen was a member of Temple Anshe Emeth of Piqua.
A private graveside service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Piqua. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Heartland of Piqua for their loving care of Eileen. Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington.
