Eva Rogers

Eva Irene (Denlinger) Rogers, 99, of Troy, formerly of Covington, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018, at her residence at Brookdale of Troy.  She was born May 6, 1918, in Montgomery County, to the late Emanuel and Catherine (Royer) Denlinger.  She married Kenneth Albert Rogers on November 9, 1947; he preceded her in death on June 8, 2003.

Mrs. Rogers will be missed and remembered by her three children and their spouses, Lois & Brian Brubaker of West Alexandria, Kenneth & Bonita Rogers of Covington, and Carl & Cheryll Rogers of Howell, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Andy (Kate) Brubaker, Scott (Beth) Brubaker, Kristy Brubaker, Tony (Erika) Brubaker, Jared Rogers, Jeremy (Jill) Rogers, and Angela (Paul) Lloyd; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, John Denlinger of Clayton; and two brothers-in-law, Odell Bowman of Virginia and Walter Bayer of Troy.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and a grandson, Ted Rogers.

Eva was a homemaker and a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Covington District.  She enjoyed quilting and loved flowers.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 1, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 6360 W. Farrington Rd., Covington.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park.  Friends may call from 3-5 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S.
