EARICK, Glen Edward
Age 78, of Piqua, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Covington Care Center. He was born August 15, 1939, in Dawson, Ohio, to his parents Elmer & Ethel May (Ford) Earick. Glen graduated from Graham High School. On September 4, 1965, he married Ethel May Dershem in Nashville, Ohio, and together they shared a life for over 48 years. Glen worked for 25 years at Rose Darry (Even-Flo) and retired from Hobart Brothers after 30 years of employment. He was a US Army Veteran and was a member of the Piqua Eagles F.O.E. 614. He enjoyed camping and spending time watching Ohio State, the Dayton Flyers, and the Cincinnati Reds. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Ethel May (Dershem) Earick; son and daughter-in-law Michael A. & Michelle Earick of Sidney; grandchildren Crystal Perry of Sidney and Courtney Griffis of Sidney; great grandchildren Carter, Charlie, Keiona, Alexis, Collin. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Carl, Arther, Herman, Bernie, Howard, Kenneth Earick; sister Bernice Parker; father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph A. & Ruth (Shellabarger) Dershem. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, April 19, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Covington, with interment following at Miami Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Friday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
