Grant Dennings

Grant Howard Dennings, 63, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at his residence after a valiant battle with cancer.  He was born September 27, 1954, in St. Marys, to the late Guy E. and Marilyn R. (Lampert) Dennings.

Grant will be missed and remembered by his two sons, Matthew (Lauren) Dennings of Redlands, Calif., and Jon (Rachel) Dennings of Blacklick, Ohio; siblings Gail Peterson (Jack Ditmer) of Troy, Greg (Carol) Dennings of New Bremen, Gwen (Bob) Staton of New Bremen, and Guy (Heidi) Dennings of St. Marys; five grandchildren with one on the way; and special friends, Belinda & Kevin Damon of West Milton.

Grant was a 1973 graduate of Covington High School and attended the University of Northern Ohio.  He had worked for Minster Machine and retired from Meijer.  He attended St. Teresa Catholic Church and enjoyed trains, Ford Mustangs, working on cars, tinkering in the garage, and his cat, Shadow.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 6925 W. U.S. Rt. 36, Covington, with Rev. James Duell celebrating.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County or the Cancer Treatment Centers of America.  Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington.  Online condolences may be left for the Dennings family at www.moorefh.com.
