Harold Trucksis

Harold “Jake” C. Trucksis

Age 88, of Troy, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. He was born November 1, 1927, in Troy, to the late Raymond & Mary (Curtis) Trucksis.  Harold married Freida Mae Francis on February 6, 1946, and together they raised their family and shared a life for more than 66 years. He retired from PMI after 45 years of service and worked at Markley’s Meat Market. He was a US Navy Veteran and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tipp City and the Tipp City Senior Citizens. He will be missed and remembered by his daughter, Cathy J. Jacobs of Troy; grandchildren, Lisa and Marvin Reynolds of Troy, Jasen and Jenny Phelps of Greenwood, Ind. and Ben Trucksis of Holiday, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Kadin Trucksis, Madeline Phelps, Masen Phelps and Nathaniel Reynolds; sister Helen Trucksis of Piqua; numerous nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Freida Trucksis; son Harold "Gene" Trucksis; grandson Jeremy Eugene Trucksis; brothers Richard Trucksis, Ralph Trucksis, and Robert Trucksis.

Funeral services for Harold will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Covington. Pastor Gary Boggs will officiate, with interment following at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Tipp City, 6533 S. Tipp Cowlesville Rd, Tipp City,  or Tipp City Senior Center, 320 S. First Street, Tipp City.
