James R. “Jim” Cluster, 80, of Troy, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Springmeade Health Center, Tipp City. He was born February 21, 1941, in St. Louis, MO, to the late James F. and Willena (Moore) Cluster. He married Linda E. (Martin) Cluster on May 5, 2003; she survives.
Jim will also be missed and remembered by his children, Brian (Lizzet) Cluster of La Jolla, CA and their children Hannah, Brooke, & Chloe; Rebecca (Robert) Rheintgen of Downers Grove, IL and their children Luke & Ben; and Cynthia (Craig) Hendricks of Canton and their children Josie & Alyssa; a stepson, Douglas Coblentz of Covington and his children Anthony (Christine), Elizabeth, and Gabriella; three great-grandchildren, Lexxy, Michael, & Caleb; a brother, Jeff (Sandy) Cluster of Arnold, MO; sisters Marla Kral of Desoto, MO and Pam (Paul) Ramberg of Fairview Heights, IL. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Gregory Coblentz.
Jim was a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and worked as an engineer. He worked for Underwriters, ITT and retired from A.O. Smith of Tipp City. He was a member of the Troy Eagles Aerie #971, and enjoyed traveling and bicycling.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5 at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with Pastor Paul Hickernell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Covington. Friends may visit from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, March 5 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson's Foundation or Dementia Society of America. Online condolences may be left for the Cluster family at www.moorefh.com.
