Joan Ouellette

Joan A. Ouellette, 88, of Piqua, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Ayden Healthcare of Piqua. She was born December 22, 1935, in Corning, NY, the daughter of the late James Marcy and Doris (Burrell) Barber. She married Leon F. Ouellette; he preceded her in death on July 1, 2011.

Joan will be missed and remembered by her children, Linda Carter, Debbie (Tim) Gates, Doris Atkinson (Jim Smith), Larry (Cheryl) Ouellette, Edward (Traci) Ouellette, Mark Ouellette (Jerri Rhinehart), Wanda Ouellette and Phillip (Jody) Ouellette; 18 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 38 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons Michael and Charles Ouellette, and daughter Tina Ouellette.

Joan was a loving mom, grandma, and great-grandma. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She had worked as a cook for many years at the former Joyland Restaurant.

A Celebration of her Life will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, December 7, at Moore Funeral Home, Covington. Private burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Covington. Online condolences may be left for the Ouellette family at moorefh.com.
