Age 48, of Piqua, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born May 7, 1965, in Piqua, Ohio. Julie was a member of the Apostolic Temple of Sidney and was a loving homemaker and mother who enjoyed cooking. She loved animals, and enjoyed the beach, music, dancing, singing, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children Carlos Junior McCarty, Jaime Antonio McCarty, Daniel Michael McCarty all of Piqua; grandchildren Andrew Shawn McCarty, Alexander Shawn McCarty of Piqua; special friends Shirley Turner of Garden Grove and all of her friends from Long Beach, CA. She was preceded in death by her son Shawn Mathew McCarty; brothers Brian E. Blackburn and Michael McCarty. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 15, at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, 7875 N. Crescent Drive, Covington, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10. S. High Street, Covington, Ohio 45318, to assist with the funeral expenses.
