Katherine Phillis

PHILLIS, Katherine Idona Age 82, of Covington, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Caldwell House, Troy. She was born September 4, 1929, in Shelby County, Ohio, to her parents Alfred & Minnie Apple. Katherine graduated from Houston High School Class of 1947. She worked as a seamstress for Atlas and later worked from her home. She retired in 1997 from Covington School District. She was a member of the Friedens Lutheran Church and was a volunteer with the COA (Covington Outreach Association). She was preceded in death by her loving husband Cecil Phillis; her parents; brothers Henry and Paul Apple. She will be missed and remembered by her daughter and son-in-law Karen & Steve Albright of Troy; sons and daughters-in-law Robert & Karen Phillis of Covington, Ronald & Sue Phillis of Troy, Richard & Robin Phillis of Covington; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 13, at Jackson-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Covington. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Covington.
