Larry Herron

Larry B. Herron, 77, of Piqua, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.  He was born July 4, 1941, in Miami County, to the late Kenneth Carl and Eunice (Swallow) Herron.  Larry married Patricia “Pat” (Dyke) Herron on October 25, 1969; she survives.

Larry will also be missed and remembered by his siblings, Teresa (Doc) Putnam of Piqua, Pauline (Elliott) Epperson of Piqua, Karen Smith of Celina, and Ben (Mickel) Herron of Bradford; sister-in-law Charlotte Herron of Covington; and many nieces and nephews and their families.  He was preceded in death by brothers Rex, Jack, and Sonny Herron; and sister Virginia Causey.

Larry attended Covington Schools and retired from French Oil Mill Machinery.  He enjoyed bowling, fishing, trips to the casino, and watching NASCAR and westerns.  Larry was a devoted uncle who loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to honor his life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park.  Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Fidelity Health Home Care, 3170 Kettering Blvd., Dayton, OH 45439.  The family would like to thank Fidelity Health Home Care, especially nurse Heather, for their care of Larry.  Online condolences may be left for the Herron family at www.moorefh.com.
