BAKER, Lester A.
Age 88, of Arcanum, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center, Greenville. He was born November 23, 1925, in Darke County, Ohio, to his parents Ambert S. & Mary M. (McWilliams) Baker. On November 5, 1949, Lester married Grace E. Garber. On March 1950, he was baptized into the Old German Baptist Brethren Fellowship. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Grace (Garber) Baker; children and their spouses Dianne & Allan Burns, Debra & Gerald Crist, Darla Lonell & Steve Rader, Shendyl & Kendra Baker, Wendyl & Ellen Baker; daughter-in-law Brenda Baker-Mattox; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Doug Baker and Daryl Baker; grandson Scott Burns; sister Mildred Boone. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, September 22, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Painter Creek District, 2996 Schnorf-Jones Road, Arcanum, Ohio 45304, with interment following at Abbottsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 6-8 PM Sunday, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Covington.
