Linda Sampson

Linda S. Sampson, 78, of Troy, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. She was born July 19, 1942, in Troy, to the late Edward and Onda June (Koogler) Sampson. She married Robert L. “Bob” Rapson on March 9, 2005; he survives.

Linda will also be missed and remembered by her children, David Jacquemin of Covington, Doug Jacquemin (Richard Williams) of Cornelius, N.C., Donovan Jai Creager (Janice Detrick) of Troy, and Tiffanie (William) Moore of Troy; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara & John Laughman.

Linda was a 1960 graduate of Newton High School, and retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as the chief of records management after nearly 30 years of service. Linda was a member of the Covington Eagles and loved her dogs, Josie and Nova. She also enjoyed sewing, crafting, and was a longtime dedicated customer of JoAnn Fabrics.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 19, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Covington.
