Marilyn J. Bondurant, 81, of Troy, passed away early Friday morning, November 10, 2023, at Ohio’s Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Troy. She was born March 16, 1942, in Dayton, to the late Clifford and Pearl (Smith) Spitzer. Marilyn married Jan A. Bondurant on June 21, 1961; he preceded her in death on July 26, 2019.
She will be missed and remembered by her sons, Mark (Julie) Bondurant of Troy and Matt Bondurant (Jon “Kyle” Mehl) of Arcanum; daughter-in-law Jaime Bondurant of Xenia; six grandchildren, Nathan, Maggie & Sarah Bondurant, Zachary Parrott, Marissa Bondurant and Kathleen Westfall; five great-grandchildren, Rilynn, Aubrianna, Langston & Waylon Westfall and Cecelia Bondurant; and siblings Delores (Robert) Jackson, Juanita (Robert) Noble, Roberta Eshelman, Richard (Pat) Spitzer, Barbara (Walt) Caroway, Ken Spitzer, Frankie (Pam) Spitzer, Cathy Rutledge, Nancy Helrigle, Stevie (Jo) Spitzer, and Robert (Cindy) Spitzer. She was preceded in death by her son, Mike Bondurant; son-in-law John Mark Porter; grandson Daniel Bondurant; and brother Ronnie Spitzer.
Marilyn was a graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School and retired as the manager from the former Empire Restaurant of Troy. She enjoyed luncheons with her classmates and time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marilyn was also a member of the Vintage Car Club of America.
Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, November 16, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington. Private burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Covington.
