Marilyn R. Dennings, 89, of Covington, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017, at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit, Troy.  She was born October 14, 1927, in Minster, to the late Bernard and Bernadine (Berning) Lampert.  She married her husband of more than 60 years, Guy E. Dennings, on October 18, 1947 in Minster.  Guy preceded her in death on June 23, 2008.

Marilyn will be deeply missed and remembered by her five children and their spouses, Grant Dennings of Covington, Gail Peterson (companion Jack Ditmer) of Troy, Greg (Carol) Dennings of New Bremen, Gwen (Bob) Staton of New Bremen, and Guy R. (Heidi) Dennings of St. Marys; her sister, Audy McCollum of New Bremen; 13 grandchildren, Matthew (Lauren) Dennings, Jon (Rachel) Dennings, James (Ashley) Peterson, Jordan (Maria) Peterson, Dan Dennings, Doug Dennings, David (Jenny) Dennings, Alison (Craig) Adam, Lisa (Justin) Anthony, Maria (Josh) Wolfe, Tom Staton (fiancée Jessie Rindler), Sarah (Luke) Turpin, and Guy Benjamin Dennings; 17 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Ralph (Dorothy) Dennings of St. Marys.  Marilyn was preceded in death by five brothers, Orville, Virgil, Thomas, Victor, and Eugene Lampert.

Marilyn was a 1945 graduate of New Bremen High School and a member of St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church.  She retired after 40 years of dedicated service from General Films of Covington, where she was still active on their board of directors.  Her life was devoted to her family, children, and grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 12, at St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 6925 W. U.S. Rt. 36, Covington, with Rev. James Duell as Celebrant.  Private burial will be in Miami Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.  Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington.  Online tributes may be left for Marilyn’s family at www.moorefh.com.
