Age 93, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Heartland of Bellefontaine. She was born May 7, 1917, in Ada, Ohio, to her parents Sidney D. & Lina (Baker) Ailes. She was preceded in death by her husband Clark Andrew Spillers in 1986; her parents; sons C. Anthony Spillers, Clifford A. Spillers, Carl A. Spillers; daughters Lina May Hoover and Carol Ann Spillers; sister Clara Belle Paul; brothers John Franklin Ailes, Wayne Baker Ailes, Ned Blaine Ailes. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Patricia Lou & David Bader of DeGraff, OH; grandchildren Donna Bader, Carl Bader, Loris Kimpel, Joe Bader, Diane Spillers, Julie Spillers, Craig Andrew Spillers, Cedric Anthony Spillers, Chet Allen Spillers; numerious great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.. May Bess graduated from Perry Township School Class of 1935. She worked at General Films during the 1970's. She was a member of the Greenville Creek United Church of Christ where she was active as a Sunday School teacher and president of the Women's Fellowship. She enjoyed the vacation Bible school program and played the organ on Sunday service. She was a 4H advisor for Newberry Township-?Newberry Nifty Needles.?. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, March 20, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Covington. Pastor Darryl Peeples will officiate. Interment at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Covington-Newberry Historical Society of the charity of one's choice.
