Michael Swihart

Michael D. Swihart, 67, of Celina, formerly of Miami County, passed away Monday evening, February 3, 2025, at his home. He was born October 4, 1957, in Dayton, to Phoebe (Kessler) Swihart and the late Robert Swihart. Mike is also survived by his wife of 25 years, Pamela S. (Weherley) Swihart.

Mike will also be missed and remembered by his children, Lindsey Swihart, Michelle Swihart, Nicole (Blayne) Young, Joshua (Cassie) Swihart and Bailey (Fernando) Borges; nine grandchildren, Gwyneth, Lauryn, Zoe, Leland, Laylah, Kash, Presley, Paxton and Lucas; one great-granddaughter, Talia; his siblings, Kathy (Alex) Betley, Linda (Brian) Weeks, Jeff (Beth) Swihart, Steve (Vareena) Swihart, Jennifer (Josh) Griffin and Lori (Matt) Aragon; and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was a 1974 graduate of Miami East High School. He worked as a toolmaker for Norwood Medical, retiring after 45 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and boating on Grand Lake St. Marys, playing cards and taking people’s money!

A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held on Saturday, March 8, from 3-6 p.m., at Community Bible Church, 1427 W. Main St., Tipp City. Private burial will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CHP Home Care & Hospice, 1159 Westwood Dr., Van Wert, OH 45891. Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington.
