Ralph Schaurer

Age 89, of Covington, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016. He was born August 24, 1926, in Randolph Township, Ohio, to his parents John H. & Mable (Mohler) Schaurer. Ralph graduated from Covington High School. On June 20, 1948, he married Lois Cottrell in Arcanum, Ohio, and together they raised their family and shared a life for over 68 years. Ralph will be missed and remembered by his loving family, wife Lois; children and their spouses Rodney & Jerilyn Schaurer of Covington, Marilyn & Harlan Holsinger of Troy, Arlene & Keith Brubaker of Eaton, Marlin (dec’d) & Charlene Schaurer of Pleasant Hill; Dennis & Sherri Schaurer of Hughson, California, Kenneth & Kathy Schaurer of Piqua, Jenny & Jason Brubaker of Modesto, California; 24 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; brother and sisters-in-law Raymond & Mary Ann Schaurer of Covington, Sandra Knipe of Ft, Myers, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Byron Schaurer. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 9, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 6360 W. Farrington Rd, Covington, with interment following at Sugar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-5 and 6-8 PM Monday, August 8, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Covington.
