Robert Wayne “Bob” Homan, 66, of Houston, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at his residence. He was born March 11, 1950, in Piqua, to the late Wayne Homan and Mildred (Kiser) Levering of Piqua.
Bob will be missed and remembered by his loving wife of 38 years, Julie (Cullars) Homan of Houston, whom he married April 15, 1978; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael & Ashley Homan of Covington, Lee & Andrea Homan of Piqua; two grandchildren, Gretchen and Brennan Homan; sister Connie (Paul) Folmer of Piqua; brother Gary (Susan) Homan of Houston; and sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws Jane (Randy) Kimmel of Covington, and Pat (Caroline “Mona”) Cullars of Pleasant Hill.
Bob was a 1968 graduate of Covington High School and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church and the Covington Eagles #3998. Bob enjoyed spending time on Lake Cumberland with his family and friends. He especially treasured time spent with his grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 15, at St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, Covington, with Rev. Ronald Haft celebrating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa Catholic Church, 6925 W. U.S. Rt. 36, Covington, OH 45318. Online tributes may be left for Bob’s family at jackson-sarver.com.
