Rosalee A. “Rose” Hendrixson, 87, formerly of Piqua, passed away late Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Bethany Village, Centerville. She was born January 25, 1938, in Dayton, to the late Arthur and Jane (Hall) Arnett.
She will be missed and remembered by her daughter, Cindy (Jerry) Boram of Piqua; four grandchildren, Nikki (Jarvis) Bodenmiller, Chad (Steph) Wright, Chris Swackhamer and Scott Swackhamer; seven great-grandchildren, Megan Wright, Nicolas Wright, Chalen (Maddie) Pistole, Laylah Pistole, Ravyn Bodenmiller, Aubrey Bodenmiller and Carson Wright; a great-great-grandson, Finneas Pistole; her sister, Doris Ward of Dayton; niece Janet Fink and her children, Cameron & Colten; and her ‘little girl’, her dog Ellie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son Steven Swackhamer; grandson Steven Edward Swackhamer; brother Arthur Arnett; and brother-in-law William Ward.
Rose retired from Meijer in Troy and had worked at the former Beener’s Supermarket in Covington. She enjoyed reading, knitting, puzzles, western TV shows, and loved her grandkids.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 21, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St. Covington, with Pastor Don Burley officiating. Burial will follow in Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford. Friends may visit from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice. Online condolences may be left for the family at moorefh.com.
