Ruby Jean Kiehl, 97, of Bowling Green, formerly of Bradford, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green.  She was born on February 9, 1920, at the family farmhouse on Myers Road, Covington, to the late William C. and Pearl (Strong) Schellhouse.

Ruby graduated from Newton High School in 1937, and married Herbert H. Kiehl on September 12, 1941 in Brooksville, Florida.  He passed away on March 17, 2001.

She will be missed and remembered by her son, Bill (Gloria Dershem) Kiehl of Arcanum; her daughter, Janice Kiehl of Bowling Green; grandchildren Teresa (Kevin) Narad of Pleasant Hill and Mike Kiehl of Bowling Green, Ky; great-grandchildren Megan (Doug Bobek) Gray, Mallory (Corbin) Jamieson, Mariah (Caleb) Rose, and Trent Kiehl; great-great-grandchildren Owen and Maddon Jamieson, Kayden and Karson Rose, and a fifth great-great-grandchild due in December.  She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother Helena (Mendenhall) Schellhouse; brothers Glenn and Ray Schellhouse; and sister Glenna Fagan.

Ruby and Herb enjoyed traveling around the United States and wintered in Riverview, Fla.  In 2003, she moved to Bowling Green to live with her daughter Jan.  She was a member of the BGSU Falcon Club and attended many BGSU athletic events.  She especially enjoyed the BG women’s basketball games and events.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the BGSU Foundation, Inc., earmarked for Women's Basketball, 132 Administration Bldg., BGSU, Bowling Green, OH 43403.  Special thanks to Steve and Tim Dunn of Dunn Funeral Home, Bridge Hospice Care Center, and Fr.
