Velma Flory

Velma E. Flory, age 96 of Troy, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Troy, on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Velma was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Covington district. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester M. Flory; her parents John and Maudie (Rauch) Flora; brother Ralph and sister Miriam Brubaker; grandson Tony Lavy; infant great grandson Nicolas Flora. She is survived by two sons, Marlin L. Flory (Judy) of Covington, Loren D. Flory (Sue) of Pleasant Hill, daughter Myrna E. Frantz of North Manchester, IN; grandchildren, Dawn (Andrew) Sink, Darcy (Kip) Deaton, Jamie (Jeff) Fisher, Nicole (Mike) Steele, Jason (Julie) Flory, Kim (Brian) Flora, Karla (Taylor) Seward, Kelly (Eric) Layman; great grandchildren Chase (Ashley) Lavy, Connor Lavy, Nash Lavy, Canyon Sink, Piper Sink, McKell Deaton, Dima Deaton, Slava Deaton, Teague Deaton, Reese Fisher, Brooks Flory, Cole Lester Flory, Jadon Flora, Jordan Flora, Ashlyn Flora, Keagan Layman, Preston Layman, Tanner Layman. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, November 6, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 6360 Farrington Rd., Covington, with interment following at Sugar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-7 PM Thursday at the church. If so desired, memorial contributions made be made to Hospice of Miami County.
