Wayne A. Sink, 68, of Covington, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 9, 2015, at The Ohio State University Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus. He was born July 26, 1946, in Miami County, to the late Clinton and Helen Woneda (Flora) Sink. He married Judi A. (Armacost) Sink on December 5, 1970, a marriage of over 44 years; she survives.
Wayne will also be missed and remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca “Becky” & Nicholas Weldy of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Rusty & Jamie Sink of Covington; three grandchildren, Bethany and Levi Weldy, and Colt Sink; sister and brother-in-law Sharon & Robert Lavy of Covington; brother and sister-in-law Wilbur & Barbara Sink of Hillsboro; father-in-law Orva Armacost of Covington; two aunts; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wayne was a 1964 graduate of Covington High School and worked in construction for Shroyer Brothers before starting his own construction business, Sink Construction Company. He attended Stillwater Community Church. Wayne was also involved in farming and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, tending his fruit orchard, and woodworking. He was also a volunteer for the Covington Outreach Association.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at Fields of Grace Worship Center, 326 Troy Pike, Covington, with Pastor Ralph Schaafsma officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Fields of Grace Worship Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stillwater Community Church, 7900 Sugar Grove Rd., Covington, OH 45318.
